Personality: Ticker as we affectionately like to call this bay charmer is a lionhearted as they come. He's a tall boy, thickly muscled and toned, but what's so amazing about him is that he knows when to use the strength of his muscles or the strength of his mind. Like his dam, he is a regal looking gent, but if you get close you can see the fire of his sire dancing in the depths of his eyes. This true colt isn't all dandiness, but by no means is he violent. Like all colts he can tend to become pushy, but simply needs that strong hand to keep him in check. Compared to some others, Ticker looks like the golden child. One thing that is unexpected about this Flight of Fancy son is that he can easily become frustrated on the track if things aren't going well. When this happens you have a ticking time-bomb on your hands...he will release his fury in mad blinding bursts of blistering speed. Needless to say, experience and training will refine this trait, but to us he will always be Ticker, even when he grows out of this phase. A dream to ride, Ticker has in general amazing manners and astonishing skills. When it comes to running on the tracks, he's a very versatile runner, easy to adapt to wherever there is a hole, but he will avoid at all costs getting boxed in...he simply can't stand it...but with his size and speed, that usually isn't a problem. Every race, Ticker sees as a new challenge and he throws his intellect, strength and speed into it every time...he isn't a horse of half-measures. There are certainly high expectations for this half-brother of Comeuppance and we are more the confident that he will give a good show at every opportunity. All around it's hard not to love and admire Ticker and we truly do hope that he lives up to his name.
Pedigree: Touch Up x Flight of Fancy
Pedigree Comments: Touch Up was a recent addition to the Intrepid Racing String, but not a newbie to the racing world. Touch Up never was a champion on the turf, but he was always among the best looking older stallions. Touch Up is something magnificent to look at. All his points are exactly where they are meant to be. He is burly and fiery and looks as though he could pass on his amazing conformation on to his offspring. Touch Up possesses a fiery spirit. Even though he was defeated countless times, he was on the lead at some point during every race he ran in. Touch Up will pass that strength onto his colts and fillies as best he can. His most notable foal on the ground right now are Fiery Touch (G5) and The Winning Touch (G3)! Flight of Fancy is a Grade Four legend at Intrepid. She had a short-lived racing career due to an unforeseen injury, but she more than made up for it giving us our own grade one champion Comeuppance. She's a blue-blooded gal, sharp as a tack and more than willing to fling herself into a challenge.
